Stolen from the Museum

The works are collages of acrylic wall paint on Drywall or sheetrock. The sheetrock panel is mounted on a wooden structure and hung from the ceiling, detached from the wall. There is a QR code next to the paintings, which allows the viewer to access the webpage of the museum featuring the original piece. In this way, my low-tech works are like ghosts that find their way back to their ‘bodies’g through cutting edge technology. I have already reproduced renowned works by masters such as Vermeer, Van Gogh, Rembrandt, Murillo, Audobon, Monet, Magritte, Durer, and Courbet. In 2019, I had the opportunity to show one of my copies with its original piece - a painting by Albert Bierstadt, from the collection of the University of Wyoming Art Museum in my solo exhibition there. It is now part of that museum’s collection, as they commissioned the piece.
